Daniel Hopin, 24, has been studying the saxophone performance for the past 10 years. In high school he served as the Drum Major of his marching band and lead tenor player in the Jazz band. After graduating, Daniel attended college at the University of Florida where he studied Jazz under University of North Texas alumni, Scott Wilson. Daniel has performed hundreds of times with bands which has given him experience with songwriting, management and showmanship. Additionally, Daniel was the pupil of Moe Goldstien, a saxophonist who toured with Jazz greats such as the Buddy Rich Band. Today Daniel works as a musician part-time in Austin playing sax with many local groups such as Bourgeois Mystics, The Capital, Sidepiece and more.
