Hays Bands Fundraisers
Hays Bands sponsors several different types of fundraisers seen below. Each benefits a particular area of the boosters or directly to your student. The Booster fundraisers benefit the boosters organization to help fund the activities they do for the bands as well as any "extras" the bands will need help with. The Student Account fundraisers raise money for your student's travel account to help with all the trips they will get to participate in while with the Hays Bands. The Scholarship fundraisers benefit the scholarship account the boosters use to give to our wonderful and dedicated seniors. Just a small way of saying Thank You for all your years of being a part of the Hays Bands program!
Reminder! Effective January 2012 the Boosters will only accept checks from Booster families. Any checks for products or services must be made out to you and then you write one check to the Boosters to cover the entire order. As our bands have grown it has become overly time consuming to handle the volume of checks received. Thanks for your understanding or cooperation!

Booster Fundraisers
All Band Spirit Items - each year the band boosters sell spirit items such as photo pins, decals, bags, and booster t-shirts. Below you will find the order form for the decals, bags, and booster t-shirts. Download and complete to get your spirit items so you and your student can show your Rebel, Bobcat, or Mustang Band Pride!
Rebel Band Only - You may order your student's photo pin from Chaparral Photo on the day they take their picture during Uniform checkout (see calendar for your student's designated day). Randall's Good Neighbor Program - #225744 - link your Randall's Remarkable card to the Hays Band Boosters and we will recieve 1% of your total purchases each quarter. Just download the below form and take it to the Randall's Courtesy Booth. They will link your card # to our organization number. Anyone can do this so give this # to aunts, uncles, granparents, etc. Anyone that shops at any Randall's no matter what location.
| Dining for $Dollars - the boosters make a percentage of money on special ‘dining out nights’ at restaurants in the Buda/Kyle area. We are looking into several local businesses to coordinate “dining out nights”. We will begin in September. You can support the boosters just by eating out at a certain restaurants on particular nights. Watch for dates and locations of different places to dine all year long!
Pizza Hut - Tuesday, March 27
Pizza Hut will pay us 20% of total sales for our night. Mark your calendars!! Pizza Hut requires that you take your flyer (print out below) when you pick up your pizza for us to receive credit. We need 20 people per month to keep this going so order some pizza and support the bands at HHS, BMS, and DMS!
Concession Stand for HS UIL Solo and Ensemble - February 4th, all day. Hays High school hosts the UIL High School Solo and Ensemble competition. The band boosters set up and run concessions all day. We will need volunteers to work the event- watch for shift times. We will also need donations of baked goods to sell in the concession stands.
Spring BBQ dinner - This years’ Spring Concerts are May 14th (high school) and May 15th (middle school.) This year the band boosters will be hosting a BBQ dinner at the PAC so that families can purchase dinner and hear a wonderful concert. We hope this helps families as they rush to get home from work and to the concert. You will not need to worry with cooking dinner! Watch for more information closer to time about serving times and ticket sales. We hope you will invite your whole family to attend and support the band boosters with a wonderful BBQ dinner and concert. | ||||||||||||
Student Account Fundraisers
Scrip Fundraiser - this is our newest fundraiser for you to participate in to raise money for your student's travel account. Check out the Scrip fundraiser tab and see what it is all about. We hope it helps you to raise money for your student and all the trips they will get a chance to participate in with the Hays bands. Enjoy!!
Tamale/Coke sales - Tamale/Coke sale is on again this fall! Flyers go home on Nov 14 and must be returned on Nov 30. Late orders are difficult to handle so please get your orders to us on time! You have 2 weeks to take orders and turn in your money. Delivery is December 11th concurring with the Winter Follies concert. This student travel account fundraiser is open to all middle school and high school band students. Results of the tamales/coke sales - students sold over 1600 tamales and 167 cases of coke products. Thank you to Mike and Michelle Pettit for all of your hard work!
TSSEC - Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition - each year the Hays Bands brings volunteers, students and parents alike, to help with this competition. It is held each year at the end of May. Each volunteer works for the day and earns $35 for their student travel account. More info coming soon!

Scholarship Fundraisers
Scholarship Dinner - Our annual dinner is held in October and coincides with Band-o-Rama. We partner with a local restaurant to provide a great meal and raise money for our senior scholarship fund. In 2011 we partnered with Bill Miller BBQ and had a wonderful time. Thanks to all who helped and participated. We'll see you all again next year and good luck to all our seniors with their future endeavors. Note from Theresa Spong about the 2011 event - The results of our scholarship BBQ dinner are in we made 1,192.00 on the dinner. Not as good as we had hoped but we had less participation this year. Next year we will work on getting information out sooner and trying some different things to help sell more tickets. A huge thank you to the Jr High families for the desserts. Next year we are going to begin to alternate schools since we had SO many desserts.
Silent Auction - December 11 at the PAC along with Winter Follies. Proceeds from this auction support our senior student scholarship fund. If you own a business think about donating a service or good. We will even take new, unopened items you would like to re-gift! We also need donations of baskets, ribbon, and tissue paper to make auction gift baskets. The results of our silent auction - approx $2700 was made for our scholarship account. Thank you Michelle McComb for all of your hard work!
